Some words on the short film The Forgotten Men from the film's director Jack Wareham.
I was reading through some of R.M Williams’ short stories and was drawn to ‘The Road of Forgotten Men’ as it was a unique story that had some dark outback elements that had never been explored before in Australian film.
This cautionary tale just had to be made into a short film. The strength of the story is what attracted the A-list cast, crew and post-production. Everyone just wanted to work on something they could be proud of.
For me it was a great opportunity to further my strengths as a Director / D.p. fine-tuning performance and executing compositions which engage the audience and lay a platform for the thematic music to drive home the narrative.
